I'm looking to upgrade my laptop and I've seen a lot of posts that Virtual DJ didn't work with Windows 10 and people had to downgrade to Windows 8 to get it to work.

Don't know where you are hearing that from. No issues whatsoever.
Some older plugins may not work if you move from 32bit to 64bit but nobody is forcing that. The newest versions of VDJ are 64bit only however.
We'd need more info about what you are currently running etc.

I haven't seen any Windows 10 Compatibility issue posts in a long while, when Win 10 updates are released there are sometimes minor issues but pretty much all of them are case by case and not wide issues.
