I was wondering if anyone can explain an issue I seem to have.
First of all. I have set everything to default maps and settings. In case anything I had setup in the past was causing my issue.
Audio: Set to Speaker+Headphone
Master: DDJ-FL6 (WSAPI) Chan 1&2
Headphones: DDJ-FL6 (WSAPI) Chan 3&4
Settings:
SamplerOutputDeck: 0 (Master/All Decks)
Also, updated to latest build b6921 of VDJ
(Basic Skin, or any skin)
Ok the issue:
When I start VDJ I press Play and tracks play as they should on the decks.
I select Sampler and choose one (default Air Horn etc.)
Nothing happens!
At the top of the controller is a switch named DECK 4 - SAMPLER, so I switch it to Sampler....
The CUE for DECK 4 Stays ON, cannot turn it off. And to hear a sample over the tracks playing, I have to slide up the volume on deck 4.
So samples seem to play fine over master when using that controller switch, set to SAMPLER.
Not what I would expect as previous controller just played samples direct to Master.
Anyway, if I then switch back to DECK 4. And slide volume down for it.
Samples now play again as I would have expected. Through Master. No more need to switch DECK 4- SAMPLER.
So the question is, is this some mapping issue that is wrong with VDJ and this controller?
Anyone who has this controller can you confirm? Or have a fix?
Basically I want to load VDJ and be able to play songs on decks and press a sample and have it play, without all the hassles above first.

Remap the <ONINIT> key of your mapper and add the following code at the end of it:
& sampler_volume_master 100%

That did the trick. It was already in the INNIT but set to 0%. Many thanks :)
