Very weird problem started occurring last week and it happens after I've been playing for about 20 minutes.
Some of the pad buttons on Deck 1 just stop working. Just completely stop being detected. If I open the mapping tab and press them, VDJ does not see the presses.
However, if I close VDJ and re-open it, the same pad buttons work again immediately.
Obviously I can't close VDJ during a gig so that leaves me in sort of a bind.
Has anyone else experienced this?

THE PLOT THICKENS!
The buttons only fail to be detected if the channel's volume is UP. When I bring the volume of the channel down to 0 they work again! But fail again if I raise the volume fader of that deck.
I have confirmed the only vdjscript on the channel volume fader is "volume"
Any ideas?

See if you get the same bug in the other software (or MIDIOX if you are on Windows).
Could be a faulty device, so next step is to contact Numark Support
