I type in the name of the song or artist of new songs, and some old and they do not come up.

I have often solved a similar problem by recursing the folder to make show all tracks are scanned in or out of folders and then right click the folder > Batch . Add to search Database. For some reason vdj sometimes misses scanned in tracks. I do this every week so no track are missed. Hope this helps.
