Sujet Here again beat sync beatlock
1st let me say I have been using vdj for 20 years and I have a good idea on how things should work. When I upgraded to virtual dj2024 I got much advice in regards to best computer to buy specs etc so there is no need to question my $3000 Lenovo Legion because I ran it buy you guys here on the pro form. Moving forward
I have many setups on  non domestic laptops. All folders and playlist are duplicated perfectly on all machines and always updated. I have been using vdj2024 for over 6 months now and still have the same issues with regard to beat sync beat match beat lock. Note I can mix any genre with no problem with virtual dj pro7 over 10 years old which runs on windows 7 and is very solid. I have 2 identical laptops with this version. I can simply push "B" and match any beat and always in sync no matter the genre.
With this newest version it works sometimes with house music but not all the time. So what is the problem. People have told me to check beat grid? Ok for 30k tracks? Really. Another thing i notice is that my tracks in vdjPro 7 cue up perfectly and this is not the case with vdj2024? So I am lost for words maybe i should do a video with both systems it would make 2024 look very bad. I have upgraded and they bells and toys are nice however the simple things tend to be a problem. I want this to work and I'm not giving up........H e l p? I'm thinking many people who see this may not have ever seen vdjpro 7 work :) If I can get the beat match sync to work properly I will be a very happy soul . Thanks ps I'm using ddj rev 5 for my controller . I have much invested in vdj2024 and love the stems
Cheers

I think the advice you got (check the beatgrid of the songs in question) is the most logical starting point for your problems. Sync (a one time thing on press/activation), aligns tracks based on their beatgrid, so if beatgrids are off, sync will not happen as expected. The auto sync options can further keep a track "in sync" but if the grid is off it will not sound as you expect (read about both here).
Cue setting and Loop setting can also be quantized to happen on the nearest beat marker of the beatgrid (quantizeSetCue, quantizeLoop, globalQuantize and their "smart" versions). Most times I find I would want this but sometimes you don't, so you can switch them off and see if the situation improves wrt your expectations.

Just take 2 songs that you know clearly have problems when you try to use them, and for each, open up the BPM editor, switch on the metronome, and just play the song. If the ticks if the metronome ticks do not line up with the beats of songs, then you have your answer - you'll have to redo the beatgrid of the affected songs. Given you are playing house music, the BPM of those songs are normally constant, so you can set the beatgrid on the fly (there are various vdjscript actions you can map/at least one pad page you can download to just that do that). There are also vdjscript actions you can use to enable/disable quantizeSetCue and quantizeLoop as well (see the vdjscript actions here).

Sync will only work as sync if your songs are gridded correctly. And remember that sync is an action, not a lock. So it's a "moment in time" adjustment. The same goes for beatlock an smart play and smart cue. The bead grids need to be correct

Then there is pitch lock. which is the one I mostly use. That doesn't care about the beat grid, because that just assumes that you already have everything lined up, and simply want for it to continues to be lined up, even if you change the pitch or make other manual adjustments
