Sujet Cue Point Difference

I understand the cue points 1-5 set through either shortcuts or buttons provided by a skin. But how is the repeated click of the CUE button work? Does it set an unlimited amount of cue points? And how does cue points set through this CUE button interact with the 5 cue points set separately? Thanks for any information.
