Sujet Sound card comatibility issue

as soon as I start the program - the volume jumps all the way up and the mixing slider is stuck. Cannot mix songs at all. If I try to move it - it jumps back and forth until I let it go and then goes right back to where it started once I let go of the mouse.

I am running Windows XP Pro and have a SB Live! sound card.

Can anyone help??
