Sujet VDJ and Echo Indigo DJ laptop card, 1st impression

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Thanks to some feedback and tips from other users (Wireless DJ and audio000), I decided to buy this card with 2 separate outputs for my laptop, and use it with VDJ.
I was not sure in advance about 1 of the outputs being for headphines, with its own pre-amp and volume control knob (in hardware on the card).
I use an external mixer and hook my headphone up to that.

But, all this is still possible!
The 2 outputs on the card are the same. I turned the volume knob on the card to the max, hooked up the 2 outputs to my mixer (each on its own channel of course), and off I went.
In VDJ, you assign output 1-2 (Indigo-speak) to one player, output 3-4 to the other.

There is one setting you must make in the Indigo control software that comes with the card:
for output 1-2, you must mute all others.
For output 3-4, mute all others as well.
Default this is not completely the setting, so audio will bleed through to your mixer. Muting solves that.

The sound is good and performance is fast.
After only experimenting with the card for 30 mins., I would up till now recommend it to other users. More testing will of course need to be done.

If you happen to live in the Netherlands: check at http://www.feedback.nl
Costs eur 240.
