Ok, at the risk of sounding lame. What does 7.1 option do? I have a SB audigy card.

What i have heard: enabling the 7.1 option will solve the headphone-issue if you got a Hercules-console.

It is intended for use with 3d soundcards that support 7.1 surround sound. Just do a google search on 7.1 surround sound and you should get the idea.

ok ur sound blaster is the audigy wich is 5.1 which means 5speakers and a sub .,,,,,,,,, where a 7.1 would support 7 speakers more surrond ,,,,,,, more like a home theater system
it should be very usefull to use that we would have more channels of out put and again u can do the search like redman suggested for a more professional 7 page tutorial
