welcome as a full registered user Kramer ;)

The ultimate laptop? hmmm

Get one with a good video card built in, and get an external good soundcard (maya, hercules etc)

And getting an external drive for mp3/video storage is recommended (USB2 drives are not to high priced)

The videocard is probably the part to take most concern about, as the rest could be external equipment. Get a good video card with lots of memory...

And get a fast CPU with good amount of ram

Search forum, and you will find many good recommandations for laptops

You should buy an external sound card with at least 2 stereo outputs.

The internal soundcards from laptops, even if they have 2 stereo outputs, aren't as good quality as a professional or mid-professional soundcard.

If you plan to use TCCDs or TCVs i recommend the maya44usb.
