Sorry but we are left out in the cold on this one . The BCD200 is a good idea gone bad by crappy software and incomplete midi implementation. Nothing was very well thought out when all of this started. So it's going to be a bumpy road from here.

have you managed to get the Mic "on Air" ?

Posté Mon 22 May 06 @ 1:20 am
Hi to all.
On-air button is set as record func.
Headphone must be set in your audio configuration:

Select Advanced Config and set:
Left Deck
BCD2000 ASIO - Channel 1
BCD2000 ASIO - Channel 2
Righ Deck
BCD2000 ASIO - Channel 1
BCD2000 ASIO - Channel 2
Headphone
BCD2000 ASIO - Channel 3
BCD2000 ASIO - Channel 4
Samples
BCD2000 ASIO - Channel 1
BCD2000 ASIO - Channel 2
Prelisten
BCD2000 ASIO - Channel 3
BCD2000 ASIO - Channel 4

Then you will listen it.
If all prefer Headphone as a crossfader (and not mixer) i can set it.

I also want to know if you like the scratch system.
BYE. Antonello (PS potete scrivere anche in italiano io lo parlo tranquillamente)

first of all: Thank's a Lot Mccoy for your work.
I see that you mapped the "on air" button to the record function, is there a way to use it as it is supposed to? ->switching mic on and off? Or is there any other way to use the mic?

Posté Mon 22 May 06 @ 2:00 pm
I can't help you to find it (midi translator v1.31).
The pitch is difficoult to invert (hardware problem)
The link for download now func.

I can set you "ON AIR" button as original func if you want but i don't know if it will func with the hardware (shortcut modify only software-VDJ function).

For those of you who can't find the V1.31 of midi translator. Try V1.4 and import mccoys ini-file with the import function. This worked for me.
@mccoy:
V-DJ has a midi function for mic:on/off? I only found something for mic-volume but no assignment for switching mic on/off.

Greetings from rainy Germany ;)

If you want to set a volume for mic ON/OFF you can try to set volume 0 on "off state" and volume 1 (or something else) on "on state"

mccoy, thanks for some nice piece of work.

I find however that when I press the (scractch) button on the bcd, the 'beatmatch' button on VDJ lights up. also, when I press the (sync slave) button on the bcd, the 'loop' button on VDJ lights up.

Anyway to fix this?

thank-you

BC

Well ive seen the solution you guys recommend, however i dont get it??

Are we supposed to run 2 programs alongside VDJ for the BCD2000 to work?

Midi Yoke and Bomes miditranslator?

There must simply be a simpler way.. how can we contact the VDJ officials and get some word on wether or not the next VDJ will support the BCD2000? If not, well it might be time to begin looking
for something else.

I asked and the answer was very vague

I totally agree with your way of thinking VDJ should at least have the courtesy to tell us whenever they are going to support the BCD yes or no so we as being their client could decide on what to do .
