Yup. I gotta a lot of knowledge to combat ignorance with.
This is a case where more is better... knowledge is power people.

No one is forcing you to read any of this Andrew87, much less post a response.
Unless you're the decision maker on how long and how music related posts must be here in the GENERAL DISCUSSION forum, then I really don't care what you think. But in case you missed it, VDJ is SOFTWARE that runs on HARDWARE, and this thread was started to help educate people on the current state of a chips/processors which are a major part of the HARDWARE portion of VDJ's SOFTWARE solution.
Do you get the connection yet? It's the "Circle of Life" as it pertains to VDJ, Simba.
If I want your opinion I'll ask for it. But I'll usually stick with my experienced facts over anyone's inexperienced opinion though.

Right, you don't really understand the concept of a forum, go start a blog instead, make sure to disable comments too. But congratulations on a decent sized post. But back to the double posting I see.

We are going to give conquest a few days to cool off. See you back here Monday. Also try to be a bit more respectful of our community.
Posté Sat 15 Jul 06 @ 10:26 pm
Now here is an example of someone who doesnt respect the community. I stuck up for his post because it was in fact a valid post.... But he lets me down by proving to me what the other users have said about him... Enjoy your vacation.
Posté Sat 15 Jul 06 @ 11:30 pm
Yeah, I understand your point DJ Key-Low, but to call my post insulting was a bit over the top IMO when you look at the context of the rest of his posts. Anyway, let's hope that we can all live happily together in the future. In fact I'm gonna drink to that. Cheers

I guess he left out the part about our mental disabilities, he's also added some imagination to his post as usual, bending the truth.
The post further down the page (of general discussion) is also conquest is it not? Same hostmask, also the link to the mac forum states only one view of the post and I assume that was me when I checked it a few minutes ago, hello ConQuest.

What a shame. We should post on there.

Lets put this baby to bed
Yes there will be a mac version. Atomix fully supports the idea of being cross platform. We have always planned for the Mac version VDJ4 seemed to be the right time to do this. Atomix does not hate any computer platform (well maybe amigas)
Further more, the main reason conquest was suspended from our community was due to derogatory comments he posted not because VDJ and its community has a personal vendetta against the mac platform.

Too true. Hopefully the Mac enthusiasts will be coming over here to look and will see the great tolerance and helpful attitude of the VDJ community. There's not a forum anywhere that is better IMO.
Mac users. Give the demo a try. You won't be disappointed. Just wish there was a Sinclair Spectrum version.

the reason intel kept pushing for higher clock speeds is because they were desperately trying to keep moving their chips forward, keeping up with AMD who had undertaken singnificant investment in eficient chip design and were reaping the rewards as Intel strugled to keep up with its antiquated design.
Intel have been ahead in the CPU market for most of their life and for good reason, because they are a massive company that has the resources to lead the market. They messed up with their pentum 4 model going for an overhaul of the P3 archetecture rather than a fundamental redesign. More profitable in terms of development cost/time but we can see they have let themselves down in the medium term and AMD capitalised on it. Its about time Intel came back with some well designed chips to retake the market crown. after all their company is roughly twice as large as AMD.
AMD have some new technologies in the pipeline but providing Intel dont balls it up too badly they will be ahead for some time. There is a reason Apple went Intel.... they may have been slower at the time but its clear who will be ahead in the future.
I dont get why conquest got so excited about this tho..... AMDead indeed
The new Mitsi Evo IX is gonna wipe the floor with the tired old scooby design, its gonna kill it loads, the scooby suxxxxx, the Evo is l33t, the scooby is just a n0000bey n00b n00b la, la, la, la, la.............
oh yeh, i just remebered, im not 14

Lets keep in mind that nvidia's GX2 series will be looked at as a daul core single card in the future, something that ATI has not even touched yet. They will be combining the chips when they move to 65nm as well.
So in technical terms, nvidia still holds the upper hand, especially if you have the money for a quad SLI system :D

Wow, what a silly, and nerdy thread. Why this impassioned support for the "overdog", Intel? I mean, is it really interesting news that the wealthy, huge, dominant force has, for the time being, regained dominance? Why is that interesting? It was interesting when AMD, a much smaller, less mainstream company, was able to surmount Intel. That was interesting. This is a waste of all of our time.
I built a beautiful machine a few months ago, using an AMD 4400+ CPU. It works brilliantly. Any delays in performance are due to software/memory issues, not the CPU, as far as I can tell... Is it really so important that perhaps in the near future we can save $50 or whatever on the next machine we build by selling out to the big guys instead of supporting the underdog? Who cares. Thanks for wasting our time ConQuest.

Ah but we just discussion technology!
We could have a similar discussion over some new turntable or mixer that would put anything else made to shame, but you might not have the same view on that...

Think about it Poloralphloren. It's not different than gearheads getting around talking about whos engine is the best, or gamers talking about if they prefer the XBOX 360 or upcoming PS3. Or to put it in perspective for us, which turntable is better 1200s or TTXs. It is relavent seeing how we are all using computers to DJ with, and pushing them to the limits with all this new software (Well VDJ is really easy on my computer, but that is beside the point.). I actually get a kick out of Conquest's posts. Although he (or she?) does seem to take it a bit to the edge with the fanboy attitude. The key word is "Flexible".
P.S. Niems just saw your post right after I submitted mine. We think alike on this subject. :)
