Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Is it possible to have a "scratch mode" with the sound effects, meaing each time I hit the key it restarts instead of stopping it...

You can set shortcut of effect to momentaly. Check shortcuts in VDJ preferences.

Thanks for your assistance Neon, but this is still defeating the purpose. I observed that the Function Key has to remain "de-pressed" for the full sample to execute. I want to have the same function with the scratch mode but once I release the key it completes the sample like in Alcatech BPM Studio....or similar to the "PLAY" function in VDJ

just trying to understand what you mean by "scratching" with samples...

- You want them to be momentarily triggered right ? each time you tap a key
- And when released in the end, you want it to play ?

Is that what you mean?

I think he wants to SCRATCH a SAMPLE (looped or not) directly.

i.e.
all we know the "this-this-this" sample-loop.
so I think, i.e., he want to play it and sometimes scratch it as you can do it in the song with the mouse over the vinyl image.

the only solution I find is to play the sample on a player (the one where's not the current song, of course) and not on the sample area. you can loop it too there, and you can use the scracth of the player.
Is not the best way, but it's a solution.

at the moment in VDJ you have 2 choices,

have it so the sample is turned on or off when the button is pushed

have it so the sample it turned on ONLY when the button is being pushed

what hes looking for is to be able to press it once and the sample plays,,,,, but if you press it again its doesnt turn off, it starts the sample from the begining,

i would love this feature for use with my MIDI drum kit, would make sampling far more normal
