the developers told us to implement other visual effects like winamp (avs) into vdj4.
I'm just trying the new software but could not find a way to do it.

Winamp's milkdrop visualizations are open source now.
Milkdrop does some beautiful visualizations. It's way beyond the sonique based ones that VDJ has implemented.

as far as i know the only vis you can run is the sonique ones, you cant use the nulsoft and gesis or whatever ones
