Hi,
Is there anyone who experienced the tempo/pitch slider acting sluggish in VDJ 4.1 and DAC 2 ? After I upgraded to 4.1 my DAC 2 started acting sluggish when I tried to adjust the tempo. Any help ?

The method for interfacing with the external controllers has changed in 4.1. There are a couple of mapper developers working on updating the DAC2 mapper. Hopefully they with have something posted soon.

I had this problem last night.
After installing 4.1 the pitch was at best sluggish, and more likely un-responsive.
Reverted to 4.0 and the problem was miraculously solved.

I too have this problem, and posted a message in the bugs forum. There is certainly something wrong with the built in mapper, I have it on two systems, and two DAC2's.
With a little help, hopefully I'll be able to get my old mapper up and running in 4.1. Keep in mind that I think Pern will be the one to release his DAC2 mapper first.
Heres hopeing the problem is not in the core code of VDJ.

I hope so too, but without customized mappers, version 4.0 was working with DAC 2 properly. It did not give the extra features but it worked on a basic level.
I removed all the custom mappers and my DAC 2 did not work at the basic level. It acts as if the Pitch/Tempo slider is stuck. You can move it with the help of the mouse but controller's slide does not work.
I hope development team is looking into it.

Yes, I agree that it was unresponsive. I could move it all the way up or down and nothing at all. Also ran into this, I put VDJ into automix mode which freaked the display out on the DAC-2 and then when I pulled it out of automix mode, the DAC-2 was useless after that. If I rebooted completely, then it would work again. The display isn't very appealing either. Hard to tell exactly what the time is on the song since it doesn't display as it should for time. 0043000 should look like 0:04:30:00 as it used to. Also, what the heck is the first number in the display. All I can figure is it's the com port the DAC is set on since my shows 4 and that's the com port it's listed on.
I hope whomever is writing the mapper continues use of the DAC-2 and doesn't just write something for the DAC-3 only. I don't want a 3. I don't need all of the buttons and don't want to use up another rack space for it.

Other vip's will tell you I was on it before 4.1 was released got in touch with 2 of the mapper guys and they started on it pretty quickly but unable to complete it before the release. However they are working on it as quickly as they can. We will have dac-2 mappers very soon with vdj. Hopefully with 4.2 we'll be able to code our own without having to compile a dll :)

I have been using 4.0 with my DAC-3 and it has been fine. Before I load in 4.1 on my laptop and mobile PC, can anyone tell me I will run into these issues with a DAC-3?

If you are using my DAC-3 mapper, you will need to download the new version for VDJ 4.1 - This is available now from Download -> Plugins -> External Tools.
This updated version will also still work with VDJ 4.0 and 3.4
