Hi all,
got a little weird noise when i manually rewind back the deck that i am going to mix in.
sounds like a slowish vinyl type noise ( forgive my description, useless at the best of times hah )
anyone else have this problem ? or do they have a solution ? possibly my soundcard ?
cheers

Hi there,
im using : C-Media c3dx cmi8738 PCI
its a 5.1 soundcard.
not sure what you mean by config ?
maybe the output settings in vdj ? if so then i have it set to speakers and a headphone out.

are you doing a direct record using the onboard mixer or an external mixer? some external mixers suffer from fader bleed....eveb though the fadwr is over to the other channel or all the way off, the sound still bleeds through.

nah dont have external.
happens when i twiddle with and of the fader, high mid low controls....

then its possible that you are putting to much low eq onto the tracks using the eq knobs try a lower eq
aslo watch high eq as this can distort music aslo

nah wouldnt be that, as it happens when any of volume knobs or faders are moved.
the low mid high controls are all set to the middle ( green )

maybe then your putting the volume up to much and its distoring
Posté Fri 24 Nov 06 @ 8:14 pm
nothing to do with the volume dont think. It is that you can hear the noise on the current playing track , when i am altering low high mid on the track i want to cue ( also when i manually search thru the track i want to cue ).
