Hey guys, I am a mobile dj and have been having the following problem. When I have my equipment running but I'm not playing any sound, my speakers make have a static sound which increases when I increase the volume. The moment I unplug my labtop the sound goes away. I was told I need a power conditioner. However, I have no clue which one I should get, how powerful, how many amps or anything. So if anyone has any suggestions please help me out. Thank you

Thank you guys. However, what is an ungrounded power strip?
And thanks for the link. I've never heard of that. So if I buy that should I get a power conditioner?
Sorry about the questions, just don't know anything about this type of stuff but I'm trying to learn as much as possible.

or go to walmart and buy an adapter that makes a 3 prong into a 2 prong....57 cents.
