Hi all,

Just thought I'd share my experience from the weekend. Sat night gig I was performing at the Sky city convention centre, its the only 5 star rated centre in Auckland apparently... anyways it was a blast. My set was only 45mins long because of the retro group that were performing all the disco hits and I ended up being just a filler to end the night.

I can't say that I've seen many elaborate displays but the staging and light setup was ridiculous. I ended up hooking my mixer up to the sound system that the performing band also had as well as my own... I tell you, it was straight ridiculous.... I LOVED IT, even the dance floor lit up with the coloured lights! I also realised the nuo4 has a double output which worked out well :)

Anyways on a sader note, the previous night at the same venue which I fortunately wasn't performing but one of my fellow dj's was, a woman fell from the stairs and died on the scene. Apparently she tried sliding down the rail and slipped off plunging 5 metres and sliding down another set of stairs on her head. Scary stuff I must admit... I definitely hope I don't come across fatal incidents during my gigs.. as a matter of fact anytime (touch wood).

Hope everyone else had more positive experiences!!

Holy shit, A fatality

We had one of those at the club I work at, It was before my time at the bar, so I only heard about it second hand.

Basically - one punch fight - one kid hit another , both were quite drunk and the one who got hit had his head bouce off the dancefloor tiles, He passed of a brain hemorage. The medical examiner could not figure if the punch or the impact with the floor caused the internal bleeding.

And New Years Eve is almost Upon us.

Watch your backs peoples
