i would like to record some of my work but i have problem with a paticular sound the tcv make. is there a way to mute this sound or turn it down to the point where it is not heard when recorded. it sounds more like a wistle than a humm. please help. also i would like some tips to help my system run most efficient

Go to your soundcard PLAYBACK setting, and MUTE the monitor/line-in signal.
Thats all ;)

(BTW, do NOT mute the signal in the soundcards RECORD setting)
