i just got the Dj console MK2 as a christmas gift, along with a mic, and i wanted equipment to record and mix my own music..... i cannot get the mic to record any sounds. do i have the right equipment for recording music?

thanks, i tried that, and it records, but when i play it back, i dont hear anything except some static.....

turn the mic dial up and check that you have depressed the dial

okay.... i have 2 questions now.... first how do i do that? and second it gave me some feedback when i just recorded, more than before, but still nothing else... is this a good sign?

the first dial on the console on the front is the headphone knob
press it inwards lightly
so that on the mk2 control pannel it says "on air"
to find the console look at your task bar
:)
you will see an icon that looks like a vinyl
double click it
now turn the dial up and try it again
