waiting on my edirol fa 66 sound card to come and need an adapter for the firewire. my laptop doesnt have firewire and I see there are two different card bus types! the 400 and the 800! I spent extra cash to get a good sound card so i could have low latency but now will the card bus type (400 or 800) make a differenc in latency if so what type of latency could i achieve?

Type of latency depends more on the card. I think 400 should be more then enough for audio. 800 is good for transfering video.

ohh ok so if am going to buy virtual vinyl and use the video then the 400 would work good with my soundcard! 800 you say is more for transfering video from say a camcorder right? nothing to do with video from the virtual dj program
