Ok guys, I need help to just review that I have the correct hardware for clubs.
I have a dell e1505 2.0ghz 2gigs of ram. I have the M-audio firewire 1814 for a soundcard. I'm thinking of buying some xp 10's but not too sure. Should I just wait and save some money to buy turntables, or will the xp 10's be sufficient? What are the user reviews around here on the xp 10's? Does it work with Vista? Also, I already ordered my Numark total control, do I even need it, or would a more traditional mixer do? Again I'm pretty serious about the club scene. Please help with any advice.
THANKS!!

Most clubs have preinstalled equipment.
So what you bring is usually your music (laptop), and maybe a controller (timecode or midi controller).
All you mention above will work fine, but depends on YOUR needs and wishes.
For scratching, the XP10 will act just as a scratch cd player, but a bit smaller.
Timecode and turntables will work just as using real vinyls.
And controller will control software features, but not very good for scratching-
If you are going to mix videos, a midi controller would be a huge pluss.. as the midi crossfader can be used to control software video crossfade, and audio crossfade would be done at your clubs external mixer.
