Sujet: Aug 7th 2007 - NEW Boot Camp 1.4 updates graphics drivers among other things...

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Last Tuesday August 7th, Apple updated it's beta Boot Camp software to version 1.4.

From Apple's Boot Camp page @ http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/

Changes in Boot Camp 1.4 beta
Boot Camp 1.4 beta contains several updates and is intended for all new and previous Boot Camp beta users.

Boot Camp 1.4 beta includes:
- Support for keyboard backlighting (MacBook Pro only)
- Apple Remote pairing
- Updated graphics drivers
- Improved Boot Camp driver installer
- Improved international keyboard support
- Localization fixes
- Updated Windows Help for Boot Camp

Also of possible interest to some, the following wiki webpage has details on how to triple boot Mac OS X, Windows XP, and Linux via Apple Boot Camp. The procedure has been sucessfully used to setup a MacBook, but is untested on the iMac/Mini models:

http://wiki.onmac.net/index.php/Triple_Boot_via_BootCamp

Just an FYI. ;)

Thanks ConQuest. I didn't even realize 1.4 came out.

Neither did I. ;)

Hence my posting of this thread a full week later. =P

Does the video output finally work under bootcamp?

What do you mean again? I remember this coming up before. I have been running video out through my DVI port on my Macbook Pro and its fine. At home, DVI to my HDMI port in my Tele. At the Club, DVI to a conversion box which makes the signal Analog and gives the Component cables to which all of the TV's are hooked to (Matrix, I belive). All in Bootcamp with Windows XP on my Macbook Pro.

I finally got my Setup near perfect. Ill post the complete Kit later.

He's talking about using Apple's DVi to Video (RGA or S-Video) converter without having to use a scan converter or "conversion box" as you cal it.

In response to anewsome's question, I have not had a chance to update Boot Camp to version 1.4 yet, and therfore cannot confirm nor deny whether that solution works yet.
