Sujet BCD3000 and VDJ 5.0 rev5 works beautifuly - Page: 1

Cette partie de ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes

Hi guys, ...and girls =o)

I have just installed my new VJD 5.0 rev5 PRO and a newborn Behringer BCD3000 and it works beautifuly. It seems that all the LED:s and wheels work now with this native support, Thanks indeed TEAM! (And with the settings for BCD3000 to standardmode I dont even have to push buttons twice, i found out...) So far so good with these incredible machinery, love it allready...

BUT...

The JOG/SCRATCH-wheels:
When i used theTrial-version (think that was rev4 or maby less...) I had to map the BCD3000 with a midi-mapping i found here at the Forum. Worked well, besides the LED:s. With that mapping, the serach with the JOGwheels did run incredibly faster than now with native support. Now each turn only proceeds cueing with just one beat or so, so you have to spinn it hysterically to reach a wanted CUE-point. AND... scratching is the same and will not work in practice. Scratching worked fine with that midi-mapping. Is there anyting one can change in settings somewhere for the JOG-wheels to perform faster?

Another question about headphones mix on BCD3000:
In VDJ you change CUE-MIX on the upper slider, and desired channel with the PFL-buttons (or OnLoad), right? On BCD3000 you also have the PFL-buttons but not the same CUE-MIX function on the knob, but insted PFL1-PFL2, witch overrides the buttons. That means you cant avoid turning that knob if you want exclusive PFL-listening. I prefered to use OnLoad and a slightly MIX setting on VDJ, witch I cannot do now whitout turning the knob everytime I load a new song, so the whole idea of automatically OnLoad the PFL-channel when loading a new song is gone.

Any ideas? Thanx!

it's possible using the "bypass" function.
In the BCD3000 mapper there is this function.... In the manual there are the instructions to abilitate the line/phono inputs.

I have a problem with my bcd3000 all settings and mapping options are correct accept my headphone only plays what the main output plays so i cant preview a song. It has worked before so I don't see why it doesn't anymore. I can even see the sliders from phones mix change in VDJ but it doesn't do anything with the sound that comes out of the headphones.

Any ideas?

@mneeckx
Wich version of VirtualDJ are you using?
the home edition is not abilitate to connect external hardware like BCD3000....you need the VirtualDJ PRO version.

ps=the illegal versions are very instable. We can guarantee assistance with only the original version

Wow, what a mapper!! Thank you =o)

I will sure give it a couple of gigs to evaluate it and then maby I´ll come back with a few idees for a future upgrade, which I already have in my mind. (The headphones MIX still acts as a A-B crossfader, and not as CUE - MIX, as it is in the software. And I would prefere to keep the LOOP IN - OUT functions as a manually On the fly-function. Though, the predefined looping is great anyway)

When you install bcd's driver select driver setup right click in properties authorize the compatibility with windows xp, it should work at least you have vista 64 bits.

to the above poster > I also use the bcd3000 with vista and it works incredibly with the exception of the occasional freeze. The problem supposedy rests with Behringer, and not Virtual DJ. Laptops, or PC's with dual core processors are reportedly the blame conflicting with the software portion of the Behringer. new drivers as per behringer will be released soon whenever testing concludes. I also patiently await. As far as tapping buttons twice? open the bcd3000 icon in your taskbar (by the clock) and click standard not advanced.

Hate resurrecting old issues but... I have a BCD3000 and Vista and not only can I not get the BCD3000 mapped the way I want it but I have to tap the buttons twice. Behringer 'cliam' to have a Vista compatible driver but it's the same driver as XP...

I know that on XP the double tapping doesn't exist but how long are these manufacturers going to blame Vista. It's been around for long enough, time to get over it and deal with it.

Anyway, rant over. What do I need to do to get around the double tapping?

Cheers. Martin

I NEED Instant help.

i bought a bcd 3000 about 3 days ago plugged it in and it worked great with vdj 5, until i started up my computer again today and when i open up virtual dj the scratch and syn lights had no response. only the power led was on. so i went to press play and no luck. so i click on the sound set up, to find in the drop down menu for sound card(s) was no longer bcd 3000 but bcd 2000 so i press play via my mouse and the only functions working, was the phones mix and volume and master. i have tried un installing the driver and starting again and had no luck. but i will try again... please help because i was supposed to be playing a gig soon and need it working.....

thank you in advance

Try using it with the latest v6.0.6 trial http://www.virtualdj.com/download/trial.html

The BCD series of consoles are well known to be very problematic and the cause of freezing and other problems. This is due to very poor design of the hardware, in particular the chipset used by the sound card. We would strongly advise avoiding using these consoles. A good quality reliable alternative is the Hercules DJ Console RMX.

Some users have had success with BCD consoles by disabling their wireless networking and using a better quality USB cable to connect to the BCD (The one supplied with it is also very poor quality.) You should also make sure that you have the latest drivers installed for the console from http://www.behringer.com

If you use the console as a MIDI controller only (I.e: Do not use the built-in sound card), then it will normally work OK. It's the built-in sound card that causes most problems.

For best results, please also ensure that you are using the latest version of VirtualDJ Pro. If you have purchased, you can upgrade for free by going to http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html to register your serial number, then download the update from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

If you have not purchased, then please support the software and its future development by purchasing your own legitimate license: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

You have to be a professional edition user to have access to it. After you purchase VirtualDJ Pro license you can have full access to this and other links just available for Pro users.

With VirtualDJ Pro 6.0.7 you have natively mapped BCD-3000, please try this version for test:
