Since you can hook up two turntables to the Hercules RMX...im assuming it would be possible to hook up two CDJ's to the RMX also..but my question is would i be able to run four tracks off VDJ....two off the CDJ's and two off the RMX?...im still doing research on whether or not to buy VDJ and the Hercules so any input would be great...THANKS

I have another question concerning the quality of the soundcard of the hercules rmx:
If you take two turntables or CD-sets how good is the soundcard working then? How huge is the delay or the lag. I am questioning whether the soundcard is able to provide a high quality in order to keep up with products like the numark virtual vinyl? Is the sound quality when sratching convincing or does it sound very computer-like?
Another thing is:
Has anyone of you tried to connect a ICDX or a Pioneer CDJ 400 to the hercules rms? How good does it work? Is the sound quality when sratching convincing?

I think you have to get an external soundcard...

I tried hooking up my turntables to my hercules rmx but it just didn't work. Does anyone know the right configurations ?

I think with the RMX you have four channels but only two can be used at a time. There is a source input switch on each side so if you're looking to mix four channels at once you do NOT want the rmx as it only has the capability to mix two channels at once.

I have a question about the RMX
my RMX freezes all the time and my maptop is better than the specs of the RMX needed
i use 2.13ghz, 3 GB RAM, 250 HDD
how do i stop it from freezing?
will a new laptop resolve this problem?
like 2.5ghz, 4GB RAM, 500 HDD and 1GB video card

I would also like to know if the RMX would work with CDJ's. Im assuming its the same as the time coded records.

I think you can use tracktor vinyl too. I'm in the same position as you. I'm searching witch timecode vinyls co operate with VDJ. I've heard good things for serato (2nd version) and tracktor. I've also heard that numark doesn't work properly but none of these options are from personal experience so I can say nothing for sure...

I have VDJ Basic. can I use it with the Hercules RMX. Thinking about buying it for my son as a birthday present and don't want to have to buy VDJ Pro just yet.

Sorry, it is not possible to use the Hercules RMX with VirtualDJ Basic.
VirtualDJ Basic does not support the use of any external MIDI controllers - It is for mixing using your mouse and keyboard only. Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html
Your son can use the RMX with the VirtualDJ DJ Console Edition v5.2 that comes included free with the console. When he is ready to upgrade to Pro, he can do so at a considerable discount (Assuming that the RMX will be purchased new.)

can hercules rmx with vdj pro work with scratch into

If your talking about Serato's software you should probably ask on there forums........but since you asked here ill save you the hassle, NO your RMX won't work with their software.....
You can always make your own skin mimic there's, don't really know why you'd want to. I've seen and used their little program and its lacking in features but to each their own.
Good Luck
