I have my first gig Friday night and just wanted to check and see if I need to change any of the Configurations or settings. I have a macbook pro late 2008 edition 4gm ram, external HD, Hercules RMX. I have already changed the codecs to quickitme. Is there any other settings under VDJ (latency, etc) or in the Macbook that I should change or not have running while spinning?

Off ur airport and any program while spinning;)
Vdj latency use auto n to set performance to best. And all the best to u n have a great time;)

most overlooked thing is bluetooth, make sure you turn it off last thing you need is to be violated by someones cellphone feeling lonely.
