OK - so I'm sad enough to look around gadget sites from time to time, and the majority of the guff they have is, well ... guff!!
However - while surfing one of the better ones out there I came across this neat laptop table/stand with built in coolers!! Cool...

Has anybody got one of these?? What are your thoughts?...

The idea is great. The execution is found wanting, IMHO.
Those legs don't look too sturdy and the telescoping and rotating mechanisms doesn't look very solid.
Oh, and I wouldn't want it to be USB powered either. Experienced users will agree.

I got one of those but without the stand, just a bit sloping from the back, with two fans and 5 deep blue leds under, really cool to look at BUT if used together with all my USB gadget in, it sucks...don't even try using it if ur usb hubs a fully loaded. Well the elevation may help to improve the flow of air under the lappy anyway.

man that thing looks more like a drafting table than a laptop stand. i guess it would be cool to draw on it in the summertime in the 916 or for keeping my drinks frosty.
perhaps a grid like or perpetually perforated surface with a strategically placed freon coil within it in addition to fans on the side and a grounded plug would be better.
but in less you plan on having a campfire next to your dj booth i dont think things need to get that icy. except for the diamonds on my wrist. im numb already.
just like rosebudd in american pimp, that's rosebudd with a double d for a double dose of that pimpin.

Actually anything that cools your computer will be might appreciated in a club setting or heck anywhere with a lot more people than sensible in one place, things tend to get hot. And before you know it, your poor little laptop's too warm for it's own good, it's half past eight, and all's crap.
