The period of Dance Music 1977 - 1989 for me has everything - galloping beats, strings, big phat synths and piano. Anything new I adore has elements of that amazing sound today (Hot Chip, Ladytron, Chromeo). Donna Summer however will always have a special place in my heart. Her voice breathless, belting, operatic just does it for me. Pair that with the electronic sound of Giorgio Moroder and you have the absolute ultimate. Just like what Chic did with Sister Sledge’s 1984 remix “Lost in Music” it’s perfection...
