On my NS7iii one thing I have noticed is how pitch lock is affected when one goes a bit old school and drags their hand against the 'record'. If I do that, the pitch is affected. I am not seeing a setting to effectively lock that in.

Maybe try beat lock instead

Beat lock would likely then restrict my ability to nudge the record to get it into sync. I've posted a couple videos of it on the VDJ group up on FB.
