i ripped some karaoke cd's i have and it looks like there is an mp3 file as well as a cd-g file with the same name- how do i play these so i have the audio as well as the lyrics on my external monitor that i already have working.

Hi there, make sure both the CDG file and MP3 are in the same location with the same names, then in VDJ drag and drop the CDG file onto the deck and VDJ will do the clever stuff with it!

Hi, Although I use VDJ for DJ'ing (part time weekend warrior dj), I've never used it for karaoke, cause I'm just getting into that part of the business. I know I can use VDJ software to play the songs, but I'm pretty stupid on how to download the cd-g's. I saw a post on here from one of you that gave a step by step procedure, including buying and installing programs to help with the procedure. Is that really necessary? I don't want to buy a seperate machine if VDJ will do the job for me. Any help for this AMATURE NON TECHNICAL OVER-THE-HILL dj would be very much appreciated!!
