hi sorry to hijack the thread but im getting completely agro with this total control on my macbook
ive done more or less everything
the total control DOES have the new firmware
im using a brand new install of leopard (10.5.6)
everytime i boot up cue_le i get the old 'the controller has not been detected, please connect the controller and start again'
i take it out, reconnect, restart the app, same again,
do this process countless times
ive done restarts with the controller connected
ive done restarts without the controller connected then connect on bootup
ive done the usb bus check under system profiler. the total control IS on its own usb bus and does NOT share it with any external or internal device.
i can get it to light up at the click of a mouse button under the Audio MIDI setup utility.
the controller does work, ive used it on my pc and its fully functional
i have managed to get it to work once or twice on the macbook by sheer luck so i know its possible
however i havent done this 'remote setting - deactivate/activate' how can i do this?
anyone else have any hints?
seriously, this will make my christmas if you can get this blasted thing to work :)
thanks guys :)

exaplained my situation to technical support this afternoon
they believed it was something to do with my installation code on the numark CD. ( :-S )
The original code was covered up with a sticker.
so i was given a new code, told to install with that.
guess what :P it still happens
does changing a code really affect a hardware problem?
im usually have quite a lot of patience for these sorts of things but im slowly losing it :P
anyone have any ideas? my last resort is to go and use bootcamp seeing as itll work with my pc but its not the thing i should be doing.
i have already reformatted my mac hard drive twice because of all this.

Interesting thing, I went into windows thinking that would be a temporary work around until I could get it working in OS X. Gives me the same error on the windows side.

Issue resolved!!!!! --- recognized total control by Cue le under Mac os 10.5.6
Since mac do not have an inbuilt unistall procedure, i do a search in my system folder, I delete a file called :
com.atomixproductions.cue.plist
located on username/library/preferences
This file holds the serial number of cue le, so i delete the file, reopen cue le and i type the correct serial one and ..... it works
IMPORTANT----------------------------
Please be aware that my problem was that my bundled software was incorrect, my serial was for icue and not for total control.
---------------------------------------
1.-Check that your serial is for the product you own. Register your cue le serial at virtuldj.com, on your profile will appear to wich product your serial is associated.
2.-If your serial is for the wrong product, mail numark they will provide a correct one
3.-Delete the file i post at the top of my message
4.-When you reopen Cue le it will ask you for the serial
5.-Type the correct one provided by numark
6.-Cue le now should recognize Total control
I update the firmware of my total control to 1.02, it works fine
good luck

others having such problems have you tried repairing permissions in disk utility. or zapping pram.......... lots of file moving and changing screws stuff up and that fixes alot. My art program was not installing saying this is a modified program please reinstal with original disk...which i did with same problem then a fix of permissions and all was well. I repair permissions first on any sign of trouble cause it cant hurt anything to do so
