Yow,
Since aabout a year, I use my headset of Creative for DJ-ing, but now the time has come for a change. I would like to buy a new pair of headphones, but I don't have a clue wich are the best? Can anyone advise me some specific headphone or a producer of headphones?
Some features to be included:
- a good sound quality (since I motsly mix hardstyle, I like to have a real clear sound wicth a harder bass than standard)
- a solid one (i wan't to use it for a few years tough)
- comfort (I already made some mixes lasting more than 2 hours, and I still don't want have pain at my ears after the set. I also wear glasses)
- if possibly a long cord (preferrable a detachable one)
- rotable earpad(s)
- if possibly a gold plated adaptor for the jack (just for a high content of bling-bling)
- desirable a headphone bag included in the package
- and last but not least, a budget with a range of €50 - €80

make your own.
seriously, I have a set I made for places with really load systems or crap monitor speakers, and they work a treat.
go and buy some resonable headphones (spend about half your budget)
then buy some ear defenders, like workmen wear.
take your purchased headphones apart (speakers and cables)
then insert them into the ear defenders ( one small drill hole at the bottom of each ear and a tiny bit of soldering )
there you go, headphones you can spill stuff on, bang about, drop etc....
and you dont have to have them that loud, cos once they are on your bonce you wont hear much but your cueing.
next week we make Tracy island out of old beer cans and a kestral

but i was kinda like you, just bought sony v700s because theyre kinda considered the standard. they are pretty crazy good. love them. bought them 3 days ago, gig last night, HUGE difference in terms of sound quaity, bass, isolation and just the build is good. highly recconmend them. wont break like the pioneers

To tell u the truth i have had the v700 from sony....and they were tight...the shit ...they were the best and they wer a gift....but i recently had to make a disicion also cause they broke on me....well they were pulled apart from some guy that wanted to see them....fucked them up....so i recently purchased the pioneer 1000 head phones and hopfully they are better....cause in my mind im thinkin i upgraded....but who knows.

Used to use the sony 500's which wernt to bad, broke them about 3 years ago and got a pair of Numark PHX's and I ahve to say I have never looked back since!! they beat the sonys hands down in terms of sound quality and at half the price of the sonys a very very good buy.
