Sujet: Auto Mix Time

I use my mouse to mix videos just click on the player to mix to either side. Is there a way to change the time it takes to mix between videos. Right now its around 6 seconds.

Just go into CONFIG, Select OPTIONS and in the bottom right look for AUTO-CROSS LENGTH.
This may be the only time in your life LENGTH matters, trust me on this.

What the LENGTH part or the technical advice?... Both are reliable information.

I probably should have warned him he can make the length as short as 0.0 but he must have a good processor or he could experience video freeze, skipping, or the worst possible scenario "Video Shrinkage".... this will bring boo's from any crowd.

How about helping the guy and not giving useless information and hijacking threads with BS ....

The information is not in the manual. And the Auto-Cross Length has nothing to do with the request.

And no you can not change the 'timing' of the video transition when you click on the preview windows.

How about I thought I was giving him help based on what I THOUGHT was his question. The only response he had received as his post was racing to page 2 was the manual link.

I'll try and not bother anyone in the future, no problem.

Don't you just move the crossfader faster from one side to the other? Sorry if Im been thick I'm just old skool.
 
i would pull your neck in, and lighten up. if we can't deviate and lighten up posts we might as well go the call centre route...

next time you want to say something say it in private, don't act the headmaster in public.
 
Yes while in automix you should set it to Fade and change the time to 8 sec or 16 by clicking on the little plus on the side of the playlist. Try that out and let me know.

I personally run Fad and 8 sec crossfade.
 
Since I have everyone's attention to the facts and issue ... and if you don't like the tone of my reply not my issue.

It's real simple the forums are not a sandbox for people to just hijack and say what they want, when they want, and how they want - when they have no clue of what kind of answer to give. If you need to take time and read the description of the forums then I would strongly suggest you do.

You might think the question or the first answer was funny, but not a reason to hijack the thread.

It was not harsh at all ... and now we have another thread that has several unnecessary posts where the guy asking most likely can't even find the answer.

Moderators please pay attention to threads that start to take on these types of trends. This is not the standards for the forum and should be strongly discouraged.

As has already been stated, I'm not aware of any way to change the auto video transition length.

However, it would be easy for me to create a plugin that could do this, and would be controllable by keyboard shortcuts and/or buttons in the plugin GUI instead of clicking the video windows.

This is my last post in the VDJ Forum. , I never meant to "degrade standards"

I won't say anymore more, I might be "Moderated".
 
Thanks for all the mean post earlier about reading the manual. I know about the auto cross length in config menu.

As SBDJ mention there is no way to do it as I thought. I messed with auto cross length in config but it does nothing.

Ihave read the manual completely and even have a print out handy right by my desk that I often refer too.
