Hi guys, i've tried to do this but can't seem to find a way.
I'd like the gain on VDJ to be set at +2 permanantly for any track I load.
Is there away of doing this without having to change every track manually and use the remember feature, as this would take me forever!

I thought I had a way to do it but my method did not work. May I ask why you need it to do this. Doing this may/will cause distortion??

Set +2 for first track in set, then always match...
And rest of set will be at same level

Thanks Norway, as for why, i'm doing a gig in a bar which has a very quiet sound system and my maya44 has a very low output. Going up to +2 on the gain makes a huge difference to the vloume output in this bar and the distortion isn't that noticeable for most tracks, so its worth the trade of in this particular venue for vloume over sound quality.

I had a similar problem with my old hercules.
I found out that the soundcard control pannel had the volume level set to about 70%..
After turning them to max, all was ok :)
Not sure if same thing apply to the maya

I seem to be running at 100% volume in the Maya's control panel. I think the card just has a low output. Its always seemed a bit quite but in other venues i've had some headroom to boost it on the mixer, but this new place doesn't.

Norway, i thought the "always match" was no longer available on 5.2.1, hmm i will double check cause i like using this feature.

I had to put 1000w per channel into the maya so that i had enough head room, I used a Peavey GPS3400 amp. Isn't there another soundcard that has better output there must be by now? I used mine for 6 years and stopped using it 2 years ago that's 8 years there must be something better now that isn't to expensive.

Yes, there is Charlie, but we're talking ££££££'s mate, and it's all depends on how much you want to spend. I've been looking at the M-audio Connectiv soundcard, (around the £150 mark) I heard one recently and it's output is quite loud :)
As for the Gain options we only have, Auto+Remember, Auto, Remember and Disable now.

U46DJ has a lot louder output than the maya.

So i can't do the always match thing anymore?

Thanks Jimmy for clarifying the gain options.......
I use the conectiv with cdj's and the output is loud and clear.

I paid £170 for my maya, that's just how much stuff like that was back then however nowadays you can get a really good one for that as you stated jimmy.

I've got a brand new RME RPM sitting here in its box, just can't afford the ExpressCard interface to connect it to the laptop at the moment. I'm hoping once I can it will improve my sound situation a lot!
