is it possible to use the souncard in the Evo5 as a TIMECODE set up in conjunction with the Denon 5500?

The Ecler Evo 5 works well for TC solutions - if you enable TS mode on a channel it will work as both input and output simultaneously, allowing you to still leave 2 channels free :)

Thank you for that bit of info in regards to the EVO5... My next question is it possible for me to download the TC file and be able to use it from the DENON 5500 Hard drive?

Of that I have no idea I'm afraid.

I have evo5, but i use VV sound card for TC. Anyway, i believe it works like SBDJ said, but i never tried. Yes, you can play TC file from denon 5500 and denon 5500 CD.

Mute the outputs for those inputs, in your soundcard settings, so that the timecode signal does not get played out loud
Posté Wed 14 Jan 09 @ 12:39 pm
yup, mute them ;)

i don't know how to do that.. what i have been doing is turning down the input channel of the Time Code... but I am unable to monitor with headphones between channel 3&4 (these are the output channel of the software) remember I am using the EVO% mixer... any suggestions guys..

I dont have that mixer (yet) myself;)
But there should be a control pannel for the Evo soundcard settings, where you can mute the inputs at the output, preventing sound to be channeled to the master out.

Thank you Norway.. What do u suggest I do about being able to monitor between channel 3&4 when they are both in the same channel?
Posté Wed 14 Jan 09 @ 6:13 pm
monitor..
Ok sounds like your souncard setting for Evo has a monitor setting.
You should mute monitoring for the inputs...
Posté Wed 14 Jan 09 @ 6:15 pm
ok.. I am gonna check on it and get back at U Norway
Posté Wed 14 Jan 09 @ 6:23 pm
k.. hope you figure it out ;)
If not Xeon will.. he has the same mixer I think...

Did you enable TS mode on the two channels in the MIDI mixer setup screen?

Yes, i have EVO5, but i don't use internal sound card for TC. I have VV box as sound card. Well.. will try to see how to fix it, but don't have time at the moment.
It's everything in settings, just play with them :) btw, there is software for mixer available (you got it on CD too), check it!
