Sujet: Numark Omni Control not working with laptop

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hi, I've just recently purchased an Omni Control and i'm having bother getting it to work on my laptop with Traktor 3 LE which came with it.

When I first got the installation disc with the software and drivers and inserted it into my laptop there were no files recognized for a pc installation, only the mac files were showing. Also when I looked at the disc via "Devices & Removable Storage" there was a red mac symbol showing when the disc was in.

I contacted numark support as I thought that I had maybe got the wrong disc but I decided to try it on another pc and this installed everything without any problems.

What is happening on the laptop is that it is being recognized as an audio device but the midi functions do not work and the device is not being shown in the midi set up list of the software.

Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know how to sort this?

I have tried removing both the drivers and software and re-installing them but still get the same problems.

Any help would be great.

Below are some specs for the laptop:

Make - Acer
Model - Travelmate 5520G
CPU - AMD Turion 64 x 2 TL-58 (1.9GHz, 2 x 512 KB L2 Cache)
RAM - 2GB DDR2
HD - 160 GB

I heard somewhere that webcam drivers were causing an issue with midi drivers, can anyone confirm this? I have a webcam built into my laptop which I don't use so could remove the drivers if needed.

Thanks

Bryan

The Omni control is NOT supported by VDJ natively (plug and play) yet, but it probably will soon... (next release.. hopefully)

So you need to MAP it manually to make the midi part work in VDJ as of now
