im still new with 5.2.1 n i have a few issues
for example in the effects window, theres like no name for anything like where the beatbreak n such is theres nothing no options no nothing
and sometimes the bar where u look for ur songs just dissapears and i cant type anything
the looping i find it weird compared to the dj console ed, i guess its because they are different?
can someone help?

first of all have you been to the download section of the site and downloaded the plug ins you want to use and installed them, ie, video, sound and samples ?
after opening vdj and gone into effects you must open one of three boxes depending on what you want to use sound effects, video effects and video transitions, then activate the plug in you want to use...

uhm...
well first when u loop in i thought that having it in the lock for smart it would well be smart and when you count 4 it will appear as 4 , if u do 8 it appears as 8 and so on, yet if im off for one tiny bit its noticeable, so even its in smart lock i dont get my beats exact (4,8, 16 and so on)
also if im on a loop, and i want to loop out and i press the button for looping out some effect activates, and only if i press it for the second time then it loops out
this throws me off as ive used the pro ed in its 5.2 version (out of a friend) with my rmx and its totally different also th effects are like reversed in my friends version button 3 is for the flanger and 6 is for the beat grid
on to the other problem im having is on the effects window its divided in 4 sections sound effects video effects video transitions and external devices they are marked by this squares that turn on so you know which one ur in yet theres nothing only the squares
same goes with the buttons for "activate on deck 1" and "activate on deck2" it doesnt say anything, on the right side where u control volume size or whatever it is that u control the effect with theres nothing either
next to the turntable image it says effects and names the effect thats selected in mine theres nothing when u select an effect it just turns blue so that its on but doesnt say the name of the effect
when im browsing for songs theres supposed to be a bar so i can type the name of the song or artist that im looking for...this bar does not appear therefore i cant browse type or do anything

to tayla, i havent downloaded anything im just using the effects that just come with the software
but like i explained in the previous post the buttons are there but it doesnt say what its sposed to say
i have it installed in my other laptop they show up (thats how listed them)

with regards to the looping issue, make sure you only have your console as GENERAL MIDI device OR as a controller (right next to it).
Sounds to me like you have buttons assigned to two functions at the same time.
You may want to look into mapping your own xml file...

while it may be one option i dont see why should i complicate myself with that, when in earlier versions it worked great
