Sujet: Keyboard Freeze

hi,

My keyboard will freeze and I am unable to type to search songs. This happened a few times. Usually when I use the effects - text, clip bank, slide show. Virtual DJ runs fine otherwise. First couple times I reloaded the software and it was fine. Last night the keyboard froze and I did not reload the software. Then it worked after about a 1/2 hour.

How do I get the keyboard to not freeze again?

When you say "Freeze" I'm going to assume you mean that your cursor is blinking but you can't type in the search box?

This is a know problem with some computers. There are a couple of ways to fix this situation. The one I found that works the best is to right click on your root music/video folder and do a RECURSE. You should then be able to type in the text box. If your keyboard is actually froze then you won't be able to right click on the folder and this information won't help your problem and someone else will have to assist. I'm not the smartest bulb in the box around here. See if that works for you.

Have you done a Disk clean-up and De-frag lately.

If you haven't then this can really slow and even freeze apps down.
 
This has been happening to me too exactly as you say, when you use the text effect, etc. When this happens i just disable and then enable the effect again and everything is fine. Maybe is a bug in the plugin.
I'm sure SBDJ can give us a hand here.....

This IS one of the other ways to regain keyboard control, I find the recurse method a lot faster. I don't think SBDJ has figured this one out yet.

 
I've had this happen , but only using full screen mode.
