Could anybody advise me as to whether it is possible to set Virtual DJ Pro on channels 3&4 for left and 5&6 for right, as on my previous software (PCDJ) I was advised by the PCDJ team that using the centre two channels would give the best balance on each channel on the soundcard (Gigaport AG). Is this true? Or should I just change to 1&2 (left) and 3&4 (right).
Sorry I am new to Virtual DJ Pro. I have been a PCDJ user for 5 years and a Virtual DJ user for the past month and loving it. Virtual DJ is soooooooooooooooooooooo much better.
Thanks
Matt
I have Denon DN-HC4500, Denon X500, Virtual DJ 5 Pro and Dell Inspiron 1545.
However I need the info for my back-up system which is the same apart from I use a DAC-3 (with the Gigaport AG soundcard) instead of a Denon HC4500.

Matt,
If you have been using VDJ for for a month you are well past the 20 day trial period. If you are using a cracked version of VDJ you are REALLY living on the edge playing a job with it. Cracked versions can be very unstable.

1&2 left, 3&4 right and 5&6 for the sampler. That is what I use day in, day out.

Does this give a well balanced left and right level? The only reason for questioning this is that the PCDJ team informed me that the best way of running a Gigaport AG for this type of use was to use the centre 2 channels ie 3+4 and 5+6 for the best balance channel to channel. Is this a load of rubbish? As I would have to reconfigure my back-up systems ie PCDJ to run on 1+2 and 3+4. As Virtual DJ doesn't have the options to run as my current setup.
Matt
P.S I am using a fully licenced version of Virtual DJ Pro purchased 2 or 3 weeks ago from Atomix via the online download.

Sounds like rubbish to me mate - I'm an ex PCDJer myself, and having used my Gigaport AG on both programs, I've had no trouble whatsoever using channels 1-6 for Virtual DJ.... go for it!
By the way, if you've bought the software, you might as well register your serial number on here; apart from it stopping people wagging their fingers at you, it also gives you access to free updates and plugins etc...
Welcome aboard!

u can add your serial number here on the forums in your profile.
the gigaport advice i have heard before i have used gigaports before and using channells 1&2 is perfectly fine as long as u have your windows sounds turned off.
PCDJ reccommend using 3&4 and 5&6 on a gigaport to prevent windows sounds coming through the first two channels.
there is no issue with balance with vdj and the gigaport
