Sujet: skip back on 'cueing' issue need help

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

hi all..been using my super duper vdj pro for a month now, learning the ropes as they.
probably an over-outdated question but being a 'nu-bee' go easy on me ;-)

running sony viao - usual spec 2gb core duo / 3 gb memory etc + virtual dj v 5.2.1 pro & 2 sound cards (behringer uca202 as master soundcard) + a cheapo soundcard for headphone monitor.

Anyway..cut a long story, while putting a banging mix together, I tend to run into tracks that mix spot-on (perfectly) however..on some occasions I get this nasty kick-back' when I'm ready to trigger the cue'd track into the one playing. and it starts the cue'd one late..?

all my performances are A-okay, staying lean n mean on processor juice etc, just can't figure out why it does that nasty glitch during the mix.

any help would be so cool !! party on dudes.

If you are using the GUI to press the play button, keep in mind that this button onscreeen is also a stutter button. I think that this might be contributing to the problem. Try the keyboard shortcut instead.

hey ! didnt realise that button included 'stutter'. I take it a 'GUI' is the mouse right..? which is what I use. I had a feelin it may be worth my while learning the buttons on my keyboard actually, especially as I'm not using a controller. I'll give it a whurl and keep you posted. Thanks for the ad dude !

Yes...Sort of. GUI is an acronym for Graphical User Interface (ie. the screen and its graphical elements). Please do let us know how the keyboard shortcut works for you. It should be in the manual on page 41. I don't use the keyboard, but I think you press "tab" to make the desired deck active (cue lights up and waveform brightens), then push the "p" key.

thanks for that man..definately made a difference using the keypad, not had as many problems since trying but still has the tendency to 'stutter' occasionally with certain tracks. just wish there was a complete seperation between play and stutter altogether, would make life a little easier !
