Sujet: Thanks for the help...so far!

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Ok so the first time I even saw VDJ was at a club I was DJ-ing at and the guy was using it. Guess what people! He gave me a crack copy to try out, and use permanently if I wanted to. Turns out, it acted up like crazy & I got the trial version of VDJ & actually did a gig with it. (Do I owe someone money?-lol)

So the story goes, that I bought the full version, because it had everything I was looking for. BTW I have use virtually (pun intended) every other software out there. 20 plus yrs of DJ-ing I can say I've been through all the changes. Vinyl, tapes (did I just say that) CD, Computer. Having sold electronics for over 15 yrs and sold VCR's for $1000.00 makes me realize how truly lucky we are to only have to carry a backpack, & an MP3 player for a back-up in case of a crash. (yes, as good as VDJ is, at least once a night I have to fall back on a back-up to re-boot the program) Sorry die-hards, but that's the reality.

Having said all that...thanks for all the help and advice and generally genuine commaraderie on these forums. (Excepting the one they deleted.)

Sorry for having a sarcastic side, but even the truth hurts sometimes VDJ gang! I may be a professional DJ, but have written a few things in my time also-lol.

CHEERS to VDJ & all of you!

Well we need to sort that crash out and find the cause then, because crashing once a night is definately not normal behaviour.

Any information you can provide, or is there a thread on it already?

Welcome to the boards. It would be of benefit to know the details of the crashes as in most case the crashes are now caused by many external factors. I still have issues whilst using VDJ and so far resolved them. it would be great if VDJ could overide any system problems to the point of ignoring them with out crashing, however not so at the moment and i hav'nt found a piece of software which has'nt hung at some point. The majority of us are now finding VDJ to be a solid piece of kit and i look forward to any advances with the programme. I chose to make a living from DJing and because VDJ is so versatile it has become the number one app in my business as my creditbility and livly hood as come to depend on it somewhat. Any problems or crash reports please post as at some point we are all here to share info, solutions experience.

Regards

Chris
