I upgraded a video to iTunes Plus. It plays in apps other than iTunes, but it's not playing in VDJ. Anyone else having any success getting an iTunes PLUS (no DRM) video to play in VDJ?
(The audio is playing, but no video). You have different results?

Ugh, sorry I forgot to say I'm on a Mac. BUT this new format just became available today (I think) - on the iTunes Store (unprotected .m4v file). Is there anything I can do (on Mac) to get the video to play in VDJ?

Poop! Is there anything for us poor saps on this not-so-friendly Mac Version? S-O-L-I-D I appreciate your help.
I must be the only Mac user, LOL. Kidding. Just no where near the replies as those in the General or PC forums here. At least with M-Audio's Torq, regardless of platform, users got forum feedback in a timely manner. This is my only gripe since switching to VDJ - Mac. :( But Thank you for your help!

I got it to work. I opened the iTunes+ video in Streamclip (http://www.squared5.com/) and saved it as a mp4 and it plays fine in VDJ. Is that file format my best solution? It's virtually (haha) the same filesize.

What do these iTunes+ videos look like on a big screen projected? I'm going to test it Thursday night. Are the just 'acceptable' or do they look good? At present I have been ripping Promo Only Vids as the huge VOB files. Ugh, operative word huge...

I will tell u that they look awesome.

The iTunes vids look awesome?
Does anyone know how they are converting them? I'd like to convert my VOBs the same way - obviously to save HD space. Is it an Apple trade secret - how they compressed them so well? Is it worth it to compress from a native VOB? Sorry, I'm so new to VDJ and video mixing and scratching...thank you for all of your help!

No they Look and sound perfectly fine.
Only thing I would look at is for LIVE music vids. They sound awful ont a large PA system. I replace the audio.

Agreed, make sure you watch the vids entirely as there are some that start talking and stuff like PO

I had the same problem. I don't quite understand it yet, as i am still chewing on it, but if you RIGHT CLICK on the drm-free video in itunes, it will give you the option to convert the video to play on the ipod (which it does anyway, so weird). Anyway, it is a little slow (5 minutes per video), but it then plays in VDJ.
Hope this helps....

That should work but is slow and will give you a quality loss. Try my tool if you're using Windows, it's very quick and doesn't affect the quality (only bad thing is it doesn't add tags):
