You are inpatient!! IMO.

At the end of the day- yes it has taken some time- but what would you sooner have:

1) A shiny new version of VDJ that is as close to faultless as possible

2) A rushed shoddy looking update that should never have been released

I know where my answer is!! =)

there's an old saying I like to go by "Good things come to those who wait" :)

Did it take you 9 months to be born or did you jump the gun and pop out at 7 months? Being born too soon can be risky business. If you knew the next update was going to cost you more money would you still be impatient? Not say'in it will but what if?

Relax baby and enjoy life.

Why don't you buy some new hardware to amuse yourself with?

Yet another thread on this subject, oh joy ;)

Yes!

No!

What are you going to say if none of your feature requests have been implemented? :-p

7 Months ? how time flies, I never gave it a thought until now, but then again i am a patient DJ. Did some one mention there is to be a new version ;) I must be doing something right as my issues are very few and far between.

7 months for an entirely new version is perfectly plausible, however 7 months to get a bug fixed that was reported in September is very poor.

I know we've been down this road before, but really how long do we have to wait for a bugfix release of the current version?

(no point asking really ......)

You can't rush Perfection!!!!!!! lol

Jimmy, you been watching to many Guinness ads LOL

sheesh isnt this the same dude that opened up a thread last time bout the new version and then got locked? come on homes TAKE A CHILL PILL...its ganna come out when it does..thats why cstoll opened up that one thread[now locked]..but just chill man its ganna come out..

This is getting real old real fast.

THE NEW RELEASE WILL COME OUT WHEN IT COMES OUT!!!!!!!!!!

If you don't like the timeframe, Make an update yourself!

I get sooooo tired of hearing people whine and bitch about when an update is coming. Like you own the company or something. Nobody whines and bitches about ANY OTHER SOFTWARE updates. Not just DJ software but ANY software updates. (I think it's taking too long for Microsoft to release a new version of Windows) (What's taking serato so long to come up with a new update, When is it gonna get released?) (I don't like the way Windows Media Player works, They need to update NOW)

Please...That's just pathetic.

Grow the hell up already. A new update will be released when the Company is damn good and ready to release it.

All the bitching about the NS-7 did not make Numark release it before they were ready to release, all the bitching in the world won't make a new version of VDJ come out any sooner.

If it did, I would lose respect for the company and lose faith in it's integrity.

This is an analogy...
I don't care how much you whine and complain, I as a DJ won't play a song till I am READY to play it. I won't let someone mess up my party or my flow just because THEY want what they want when they want it. Don't act like a little spoiled bitch. That holds no weight with me.

Do we go to your job and tell you how to do it? or when you need to do something? If we did, would you do it?

I'm NOT directing this post to anyone in particular, this is just a general STOP WHINING AND BITCHING post.

we're spoilt... simple fact.

In general we are, but just remember there are a small minority of users who do encounter bugs in the way VDJ operates, so just because it works for most, others do have issues. I agree it is niggling more than anything else, but just because most people don't encounter these issues doesn't mean they shouldn't be fixed in a reasonable timeframe.
Nearly 8 months is dragging on a bit, but as the company reminded me I should have tested the demo thoroughly before I bought it, and the EULA negates the company from everything anyway.

Having seen how this has panned out has disillusioned me a bit, but all software developers are the same so it's just a case of put up and shut up. There is no perfect product out there.

@Djcity, if you don't like the timeframe do an update yourself ..... good idea, I'll just reverse engineer VDJ and re-code it. What a stupid comment to make.

the average update time frame is < 1 month (less than one month)
and the biggest time frame vdj took to bring us a new version/update is about 6 months

we're in the 7th month time frame right now.

this update should be huge

Are you serious- JUST WAIT!!

If your like this now - god knows what will happen if something that you wanted to be in V6 isn't there-
Not sure if you'll have any toys left to throw on the floor - most of them are there now!

Maybe its just me but, I'm tired of these "When is the next version coming out" threads. I bet everyone who started one used to sneak around and open their Christmas presents long before Christmas morning. Everyone, please, just wait...it'll happen when the Development Team decides it will happen.

On an even more personal note, if my kids push me for something, I make them wait longer. The more they ask, and push, the longer they wait. See, I'm trying to teach them patients.....
