I've considered getting the thing just to create a definition for VDJ and use it as a fun joke controller. but for the price I'll wait until it dies down.

I think this game could get lost in the hype when COD 4 2 comes out, the tiny place I'm from has over 300 per-orders.

It's all for little kids,,,,,,,,,,,, Are you guys tied up in that..I'm not.

99.9% of Djs are delusional when they "believe" they have a following (at least here in America, can't speak for overseas). People come to dance and hear a good dj at a good club....but very very very very few Djs can get that crowd to follow them to another club when they leave if the owner hires another competent Dj to replace them.

I am of course NOT talking about "Famous" Djs who have charted hits and play
concerts".

Usually a good Dj will migrate to a better position at a better club that is already established and over time will increase customer count and sales, or they will go to the hot new club that is opening, but there was already a buzz and people were going there anyway...the owner was just smart enough to know hiring the good dj will KEEP that crowd coming back.

I have increased sales and customer count at virtually every club or bar I have worked at. Not because I have a following (because nobody cares who I am....they just care about the music once they are there).

All the Dj's around Scottsdale and Tempe claim to have a following, but if you look at the numbers the club is not significantly busier when these "name" Djs play "guest" appearances at the already busy clubs and NONE of them ever make slow clubs busy or turn around burned out clubs. NONE of them EVER draw a crowd when they play outside the nightclub strips in Tempe and Scottsdal. The reason is simple, because they don't have the following they think they have, If they did the club would get busy the first and everytime they played there!

I have seen promoters (and self promoting Djs) who with good promotion, marketing AND good Djs revive dead clubs or make clubs busier outside the nightlcub strip areas...OVER TIME. There are also good Djs who will GROW a crowd over time for various clubs. grwowing over time is not a "following" or "fan base". It means you are good and consistent, but a following means all you have to do is advertise where you are playing...and you will have a significantly busier night then the club normally has....anywhere you are playing, on any night (not just the already busy clubs on the weekends that are going to be busy with or without you).

Of course I am talking about a sizeable following....a lot of Djs may have followings of 20 or 30 people who mooch off their tab and hang around them, which is good for a small bar or lounge....I am talking about followings of a couple hundred or more that will benefit a true nightclub.

If you are the ONE in your city you truly know it. If you think you are bu you really aren't, then you will be the ones who get pissed off at this post and will respond calling me every name in the book....but that's because you know the truth hur

Bottom line is if you lose a gig to a "DJ Hero" player then you are either a bad Dj or "DJ Hero" found someone with talent and brought it out....or you just have a f*cked up owner!

Maybe, but a Joe Schmoe who knows the truth and the job and it shows every bank deposit from what the owners pay to keep me night after night after night after night after night due to my continued and consistant performance and not just a hope and a prayer based on hollow hype for a one night stand!
