Sujet: Using cdj1000's + djm600 with virtualdj?

Hi is it possible to use my setup with virtual dj? I've 2 cdj 1000mk3's, a djm600 mixer and an onboard 5.1 soundcard. Cheers.

As long as that 5.1 sound card has 4in / 4out and supports ASIO your good...

Should go something like this:

connect the CDJ's to the in on your sound card and run 4 cables out to the Line inputs on the mixer. Download the TCCD PRO files, burn as a Audio CD make sure NOT to normalize them. and then have fun.
 
Thanks, i figured it out. My onboard only had 1 line in but luckily i had a spare pci which i used.
I'm now also looking at getting a soundcard which could be used for a pc and laptop and came accross this - http://www.esi-audio.com/products/maya44usb/ - can anyone recommend it.
 
Yes I have it had have no issues with. Some other people on here have had trouble with it its all about price vs reliablity i think? there are a TON more out there but in the end its up to you.

If you are using Club Standard equipment like that, Don't buy the ESI. There is a difference between ok, better and best. Get The Serato SL 1 Box or The M-audio Connectiv box, They sound cleaner & Work best. Spend your money once and not twice.
 
Cheers for the advice. How would you recommend the m audio connective then? Traktor and serato both seem a bit too pricey for what I need it for, which is basically having my main collection on my laptop/pc.
 
Notihing but positive and good things about the connectiv.... Its all about how much you want / can spend?

So here is what i have set up:

1) VDJ

2) PIONEERS CDJ 1000 MK3

3) DJM 600 MIXER

4) AUDIO 4 DJ

5) VDJ TIMECODE CDs

I have successfully connected everything, but i still have a problem. When i use the loop buttons on the cdj, nothing happens to vdj. Also when i change the pitch, it lags a lottt.. As for the cue button, its useless!!

I have seen videos of people controlling vdj with their mixer and cdjs. whatever button they press, it changes instantly on vdj.
So pleasee, how can i do this?? i have spent a lot of money on this setup, i do want to make it go to waste.
