Run the outputs out of the soundcard into 2 channels on the DJM (Example: Left Deck Channel 1 on DJM, Right Deck Channel 2 on DJM) and then use the cue feature of the mixer just like how you do when mixing cds with the mixer.

Actually you can run 3 stereo channels into your mixer. Main out 1-2 and 3-4, 5-6. Out 5-6 you can use for VDJ sampler. Choose 3 channel external mixer in your VDJ sound card setup. I'm assuming you are connecting your headphones to the mixer and not to Firebox.
