Having purchased VDJ a few years ago, I had never used it much due to laptop issues and then taking a break from gigging. Having just started back again, I noticed Virtual DJ 6 was out and thought I'd give it a spin tonight (new laptop too). I have to say, it's everything I wanted when I first purchased it. Stable, reliable, works perfectly.

Only things I'd like to see added in future would be the ability to monitor incoming tracks (when the timecode is disabled) and give a tempo/key readout, and I'd also like to be able to find tracks within a similar tempo range to the one playing (another piece of software has this ability and I found it to be quite handy).

Other than that, I'd happy with VDJ and will now be using it weekly. Just need to get my hard drive organised now, lol.

V6 has this ... look in the manual about Filter Folders and specificly the BPM Diff column and KeyDiff column

BPMDiff Column - shows you dynamically the BPM difference of the actively playing track and the tracks in the songs browser
KeyDiff Column - same as the BPM but shows the differences by Key

Hey Secretsoul... Long time ;)
Hope your musicproductions is going good ...

Make a FilterFolder like this (The blue folder icon at VDJ browser )

bpmdiff<=2 and keydiff=0

and you got that smart folder you want ;)

You can of course adjust it... to higher bpm difference and keydifference..

For example,

bpmdiff<=5 and keydiff<=1

Excellent stuff, nice one guys! I'll be making use of this then. Should have had a proper look first really, eh? Lol :p
