Ok for all you guys that are moaning about wether to upgrade or not as some of you think this version will contain bugs here is some info.
My setup is a custom made flight case with the following spec:-
AMD 6000+ X2 (3.1ghz Processor)
4GB Ram
Geforce 9600GT 1GB
WD 500GB Hard drive for data
WD 160GB Hard drive for operating systems
Multi Boot (Windows XP & Windows 7 RC1)
Numark Total Control
Numark DJ/IO
Ok so i have done 2 gigs now with the new vdj 6
My thursday night gig was a 4 hour karaoke gig (8pm-12am)which i came across no problems at all using windows xp.
My friday night gig was a 5 hour gig (9pm-2am) at my local club which i decided to use windows 7 and to my surprise i had no problems at all with that either. The only thing i notice different was the my cpu had more activitey than it did on xp but that will probaly be the fact that windows 7 is a more advanced os and requires more resources.
Brilliant job guys keep up the good work.

Depends on the features used by the DJ .....
VDJ is so complex and offers an array of different workings (audio, video, karaoke, scratch, timecode etc.) that things may work perfectly for some and not for others. Different controllers and sound cards add to the complexity.
I think the big thing for V6 is how controllers are handled. People are going to have problems until scripts start being released to support V6.
I have learned the hard way to wait a few weeks until the initial problems are thrashed out, then update after that. My controller (DN-HC4500) uses a mapper by JP Boggis that doesn't work in V6, so I'm quite happy to stick with 5.2 until it gets remapped.
Each to their own, but I've upgraded at day 1 before then regretted it. With the best will in the world, you can beta test something to death but it's only on release to the public that little glitches will be discovered. The fact that 6.01 is out already shows the committment by Atomix to keep their customers happy.
The V6 update is really superb, and once the initial problems are ironed out and people get to grips with scripting it will be DA BOMB!

That say it all..
And yes it is stable enough already, beta testing took its time.
