Hi Mate .
The Turntables are as good as you will get at the price but bare in mind that they are belt drive so it would be worth investing in a couple of replacement belts as soon as you get them. I dont know what cartridge/stylus is currently fitted but it would be worth seeing if you can grab yourself a pair of Stanton 500AL's or Pickering's. The mixer that comes with the decks is I think a better basic unit than the Behringer but its always worth having a spare. See if you can get the Numark fixed. Do you know if the guy is providing the origional copy of the software with the Herc console. If not ask.
I have some trade contacts in the UK so if you need any bits send me a pm and ile see what I can do to help.
Best
of
luck

@ DAZMAX , yeah the guy is providing the origional software with the hercules, for now i plan to just get a pair of replacement cartridges for the turntables also i will invest in some belts thanks for the heads up on that one. as for getting some stantons i think that will have to wait a week or 2. i will be able to use the berhinger mixer no problem and would prefer to use the numark for a spare.
im not a beginer as such but am compared to a lot of guys here. im just not a pro, ive been mixing cd's for years and only had 2 sets of TT's, ever. i am however new to using hardware in conjunction with a PC and software. plus if i found that the behringer was a bit difficult for some reason it would make me more determined to learn. i like a challange and i like hitting learning curves.
i was looking for a set of 1210's but havent had any luck getting them for the price i want to pay, YET. i have seen pairs of 1210's go for less than £300 so im just gonna wait till i get somewhere near give or take 50.

Sorry mate I should have read the whole add for the Herc. It sais that the unit comes with the software disc and reg number. It would be woth checking with the Atomix guys but I think you should be able to register the software licence if the previous owner has not already done so.
Having had a rake through my usefull bits box I have found a couple of Stanton 500 carts with styluses. I will not use them as I no longer use TTs. If you would like them send me a pm and ile post them to you. I am out of the country at the mo but will be back in the UK on the 26th.
I think as a starter system you will have a good setup to practice with at minimal cost. After all everyone has to start somewhere and ive sen much worse kit in use so go for it.
All the best

PS
I think the Numark is a better quality mixer I wasn't trying to suggest that you would have any problem operating the Behringer but I have a Behringer DJX700 which is fine as a spare for my Pioneer DJM600 but it has proved to be a little tempramental.

wow thanks man for the offer of the stantons i will pm you my address we can call them a Bday gift as its my bday on the 23rd :D
which is why i got the hercules aswell as the TT's, my missus said i should get it as a gift from her. which i was pleased about. had i saw the hercules before i payed for the TT's i would have probably not purchased the TT's.
but i ended up getting a better deal in the end seeing as the wife is paying for the herc :D
i never thought the numark mixer would be better than the behringer, and i know you werent implying i wouldnt be able to use the behringer i just rant on sometimes.lol.
