Hi,
I'm almost ready in mapping HC-4500 and quite happy now with it and VDJ 6!
The only thing that i haven't managed to custom is what is shown on lcd display
By default, controller's lcd display shows song artist and title. Is it possible to display additional information as song key or any variable value?
there is showtext function to display things for few seconds but i would like to display additional information permanently along the song and title.
i tried
TEXT 1 = get text 1 & get browsed_key
TEXT 2 = get text 2
and concatenated:
TEXT 1 = get text 1 +" "+ get browsed_key
TEXT 2 = get text 2
but they does not work. It seems that TEXT1 and TEXT2 can only display one get function value, not two or more.
Is there a way to do that? For example to get value of a variable instead and variable has two get function values concatenated?
Extra question :
Is it possible to call function repeatedly when a button is pressed down?
It seems to work with certain functions like seek or pitch_bend but what about the other functions?
I would like to create a button that smoothly change the key of the song. I already have a keyboard shortcut for this: "deck 1 key_smooth +0.0001" and while i press keyboard button, the key smoothly changes. But if I map this shortcut to the controller button, i have to repeatedly push the button to get the same effect, which is annoying (and actually does not sound very smooth). Any solution to this?
I think that skin buttons and controller buttons should work exactly the same way
